Daycare Teacher

Position Summary

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Daycare Teacher with EDU 119 credentials or equivalent childcare certification to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports the developmental needs of young children.

Qualifications

• EDU 119 (Introduction to Early Childhood Education) credential required OR equivalent state-recognized childcare certification
• High school diploma or GED required (Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred)
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Criminal background check clearance
• Previous experience working with young children preferred
• Knowledge of child development and early learning standards

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
• Provide a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Supervise children at all times to ensure safety
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Maintain daily communication with parents regarding their child’s progress and needs
• Observe and document developmental milestones
• Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies
• Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, and other daily care routines
• Promote positive behavior using developmentally appropriate guidance techniques

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
