Daycare Teacher

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development and early learning skills.
• Supervise and engage with children during play, learning activities, nap times, meals, and outdoor time to ensure safety and enjoyment.
• Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, respect, and social skills among children.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports learning and safety standards.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children’s progress, needs, and any concerns.
• Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic caregiving tasks for infants and toddlers as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment.
• Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage families positively.
