Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Teacher to join our team of experienced educators. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young students, providing individualized care, and supporting their cognitive, emotional, and social development. Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, incorporating activities that promote learning and fun.
- Establish and maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Manage student behavior and develop strategies to address misbehavior.
- Provide individualized support to students, including adapting activities to meet their unique needs.
- Collaborate with other teachers and caregivers to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
- Engage with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child's daily activities and progress.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records of attendance, meals, and activities.
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience working with students in a childcare setting, preferably in a daycare or preschool environment.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Ability to develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning and creativity.
- Experience with behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Current certification in childcare or a related field is an asset.
Skills
- Experience working with toddlers and providing toddler care.
- Strong understanding of childhood development and educational strategies.
- Proven experience with caregiving and educating children.
- Ability to manage student behavior and provide positive reinforcement.
- Experience working with children with special needs.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
