Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development, including preschool, toddler care, and infant care activities.
• Create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and social interaction.
• Observe and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers to support individual growth.
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques.
• Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and outdoor play to ensure children's needs are met promptly and compassionately.
• Maintain accurate records of children's activities, developmental milestones, attendance, and health information in compliance with licensing standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that foster social skills, creativity, and early learning concepts aligned with childhood development principles.

Skills

• Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar early childhood education settings.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development stages and best practices in early education.
• Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure immediate response to emergencies.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable.
• Excellent classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment.
• Ability to engage children through nurturing caregiving techniques such as babysitting or nannying experience.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with parents, guardians, and team members.
• Knowledge of behavior management strategies to support children’s emotional regulation.
