Daycare Worker/Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Worker/Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing young children, fostering their development, and creating a safe, engaging learning environment. This role involves working with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Prior experience in childcare, classroom management, and early childhood education is highly valued. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth and well-being of children while supporting families and promoting positive behaviors.

Duties

  • Supervise and care for children in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialization, and development
  • Assist with diapering, feeding, and nap routines for infants and toddlers
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity
  • Foster positive behavior management strategies to support social-emotional growth
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive and supportive classroom community

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred
  • Knowledge of childhood development stages and age-specific needs
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
  • Background in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
  • Compassionate attitude with patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with young children
  • Prior experience in nannying or babysitting is beneficial but not required
  • Ability to create a nurturing environment that promotes growth, learning, and safety

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
