Delivery App Operations Manager

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly driven Operations Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of delivery app day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading our delivery fleet, managing drivers, supervising HR processes, ensuring operational efficiency, controlling costs, and continuously improving service standards. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:1. Driver & Fleet Management

  • Oversee daily driver operations, scheduling, and shift coverage.
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new drivers (ensuring uniforms, ID, equipment).
  • Monitor driver performance, attendance, and enforce compliance with company policies.
  • Supervise fleet maintenance, tuk-tuk branding, fuel tracking, and repairs.

2. HR & Staff Supervision

  • Handle hiring, training, and performance evaluations for all delivery staff.
  • Implement disciplinary measures and manage leave/vacation approvals.
  • Maintain proper staff documentation (contracts, IDs, attendance records).

3. Budget & Cost Control

  • Track operational expenses (fuel, maintenance, driver incentives).
  • Optimize delivery costs while maintaining service standards.
  • Prepare monthly reports on budget, KPIs, and operational efficiency.

4. Vendor & Partner Coordination

  • Work with restaurants, shops, and suppliers to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
  • Address vendor complaints and resolve operational issues promptly.

5. Systems & Process Improvement

  • Monitor KPIs (delivery times, customer complaints, order accuracy).
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Liaise with tech team for app-related issues impacting operations.

6. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure all operations comply with local regulations (licenses, permits).
  • Generate weekly/monthly reports for management on performance metrics.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in operations management, logistics, or delivery app environment (e.g. Talabat, Jahez, Mrsool, Careem NOW).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a large fleet/team.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and operational KPIs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with HR functions and fleet supervision is a must.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.

Salary Range (Egypt Market):

  • Base Salary: EGP 20,000 – 35,000/month (depending on experience & scope).
  • Performance Bonus: 2,000–5,000 EGP/month based on KPIs (e.g., delivery efficiency, driver retention, reduced costs).
  • Benefits: Transportation allowance, mobile allowance, and potential housing if relocating (if applicable).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: E£22,000.00 - E£35,000.00 per month
