Demand Planner

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market trends, and sales inputs.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Production, and Procurement teams for accurate demand planning.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and analyze variances.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid excess stock and stock shortages.
• Work closely with production planning to align manufacturing schedules with demand forecasts.
• Support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings with data analysis and reports.
• Analyze slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and suggest corrective actions.
• Track new product launches and incorporate them into demand plans.
• Generate MIS reports related to sales forecasts, inventory levels, and supply performance.
• Ensure timely replenishment planning for domestic and export markets.
• Improve forecasting models and planning processes continuously.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, forecasting functions)
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite or similar)
• Good understanding of supply chain and inventory management
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field
• Certification in Supply Chain / Demand Planning (preferred)

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in Demand Planning / Supply Chain / Inventory Planning
• Experience in FMCG / Cosmetics / Manufacturing industry preferred
