Job Purpose
To manage the end-to-end demand and supply planning cycle, ensuring accurate forecasts, optimized assortment, and balanced supply plans that support business growth, availability targets, and inventory efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Analysis & Forecasting
- Analyze historical sales, trends, seasonality, promotions, and market drivers to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Build and maintain forecasts at category, brand, and SKU level.
- Measure forecast accuracy and bias; identify root causes and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead demand review cycles with category and marketing teams.
Supply Planning
- Translate approved demand plans into supply plans aligned with the approved parameters.
- Coordinate with sourcing, buying, and logistics teams to ensure supply feasibility.
- Identify supply risks and propose mitigation actions (phasing, prioritization, rebalancing).
Assortment Rationalization
- Analyze assortment performance and lifecycle status.
- Support assortment optimization by identifying gaps and delisting opportunities.
- Collaborate with category and buying teams on range planning decisions.
S&OP / Planning Alignment
- Support monthly planning cycles by aligning demand, supply, and inventory targets.
- Prepare scenario analysis to support decision-making during promotions, peaks, and launches.
- Ensure alignment between financial targets and operational plans.
Reporting & Insights
- Prepare planning dashboards covering demand, supply, forecast accuracy, and inventory impact.
- Provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders to support planning decisions.
- Maintain master data accuracy related to lead times, pack sizes, and planning parameters.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or integrated business planning.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency; planning systems experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of forecasting methodologies, supply planning, and assortment optimization.
