About the Role

The Demand Planner plays a pivotal role in driving inventory efficiency and supply chain performance at Kapiva. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving demand forecasts across Kapiva’s diverse channels—D2C, Marketplaces, and Offline. The Demand Planner collaborates closely with business finance, marketing, channel teams, and supply chain to gather inputs, apply advanced forecasting methodologies, and ensure optimal inventory alignment. The resulting demand plans are critical for guiding procurement, supply planning, and overall business growth.


This role requires a deep understanding of how different sales channels operate and a strong grasp of demand planning models and analytical tools. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, seasonality, revenue plans, and business insights.
  • Collaborate with business finance, marketing, channel teams (D2C, Marketplaces, Offline), and operations to gather inputs and validate forecast assumptions.
  • Lead demand planning for new product launches and manage smooth transitions for product replacements or discontinuations.
  • Analyze forecast accuracy, identify variances, and implement initiatives to enhance forecast reliability and business outcomes.
  • Drive Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) discussions, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and business objectives.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel, SQL, and BI tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, Zoho, etc.) to track demand trends and forecast performance.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics, preferably in FMCG or D2C environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Proficiency in SQL and BI tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, Zoho, etc.).
  • Familiarity with demand planning models and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
