Overview
Responsible for assisting the kitchen team in food preparation, cooking, and overall kitchen operations. Ensure the quality and presentation of dishes meet the standards of the establishment.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place according to recipes and specifications provided by the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
  • Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients, ensuring that all food items meet food safety and sanitation standards. Report any issues or discrepancies to senior kitchen staff.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures, and guidelines related to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene. Adhere to established recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency and control costs.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation through rigorous inspection and supervision.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary education or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in similar role.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for food and cooking.
