Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our dental professionals while ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients. This role requires proficiency in various dental assisting tasks and familiarity with dental software systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
• Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix, Epic, or Eaglesoft.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Manage appointment scheduling, including confirmations and reminders for patients.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
• Support various specialties including Endodontics, Prosthodontics, and Pediatrics as needed.
• Assist with medical coding for insurance claims processing.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; familiarity with dental clinic operations is a plus.
• Proficient in using dental software systems such as Dentrix, Epic, or Eaglesoft.
• Knowledge of X-Ray procedures and safety standards is essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is preferred but not required.
• A willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on industry trends.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $36.00 per hour
