Dental Assistant

Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate medical records
- Assist with patient assessment and treatment planning
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as directed by the dentist
- Perform basic laboratory procedures such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Schedule patient appointments

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- X-ray certification required
- Knowledge of medical coding and documentation practices
- Experience working with pediatric patients preferred
- Proficiency in computer software programs such as CAD and Epic

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
