Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our new pediatric practice! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a thorough understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, fun, and friendly presence. Experience with software like Open Dental is highly desirable, along with pediatric experience. Being open to learning is imperative to success.

Responsibilities

• Coronal polishing and providing oral hygiene instruction to kids and teens.
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
• Take high quality dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
• Perform chair side assisting duties, including passing instruments and materials as needed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
