Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice, Premier Dental Care of East Orlando. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our fee for service dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other team members to deliver exceptional service to our patients while maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment.

Duties

• Assist dentists during various procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all instruments are sterile and organized.
• Take and record vital signs, medical history, and patient information accurately.
• Manage medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Perform tasks related to prosthodontics, including assisting with the fitting of dentures and other prosthetic devices.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of dental terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
• Support pediatric patients by creating a comfortable environment during their visits.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Proficiency in vital signs monitoring and medical documentation.
• Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is preferred.
• Knowledge of prosthodontics, anatomy, dental terminology, and pediatrics is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols for aseptic technique.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
