Dental Assistant

Hiring a full time dental assistant for our pediatric dental surgery center. Experience not required. Interviews and 4 week training period will be at our Dearborn location. Candidates will be required to undergo a background check and drug screening, including marijuana, as part of the hiring process.

Work schedule:

Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Training schedule (first 4 weeks of employment):

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Pay:

$17+

Responsibilities:

• Preparing patients for dental work.
• Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials
• Assisting with dental procedures.
• Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
• Providing great patient care.
• Recording treatment information in patient records.
• Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
• Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs.
• Collecting and recording medical and dental histories.
• Providing post-operative instructions as directed by the dentist.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good written and verbal communication skills
