Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
• Take and record vital signs of patients as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Operate dental equipment, including 3D scanners when necessary.
• Support various specialties such as Prosthodontics, Pediatric dentistry, Endodontics, and General dentistry as required.
• Ensure the dental office is organized and clean, complying with health regulations.

Skills

• Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practices.
• Strong understanding of infection control procedures.
• Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles is beneficial.
• Ability to perform tasks related to endodontics and prosthodontics effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective patient communication and education.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment.

Hours

• Monday-Thursday (8:00am-5:00pm with 1 hour lunch from 12:00pm-1:00pm)
• Friday (8:00am-12:00pm)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
