Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic position, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. Your expertise in dental assisting, combined with your knowledge of medical and dental terminology, infection control, and dental technology, will help us provide top-tier dental services. Duties

  • Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are met
  • Take and develop dental X-rays using modern imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools
  • Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Monitor vital signs and patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and reduce anxiety
  • Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and updating medical documentation
  • Maintain a sterile environment by following strict infection control protocols and understanding anatomy knowledge for safe procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with familiarity in dental assisting practices
  • Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; experience with medical coding and documentation is a plus
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards
  • Knowledge of pediatric dentistry procedures and experience working with children is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals
  • Certification in chairside assisting or equivalent training; additional certifications in medical imaging or pediatric dentistry are advantageous
