Job Summary:
Ohio Holistic Dental Center is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Coordinator to join our patient-centered, holistic dental practice in Centerville, Ohio. This full-time role is ideal for a professional who values whole-person care, clear communication, and exceptional patient experiences, and who is confident in managing the administrative and financial responsibilities of a fee-for-service practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and create a calm, welcoming environment aligned with holistic care values
- Manage a multi-line phone system with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency
- Schedule new and existing patient appointments using dental practice management software (Dentrix or ORYX)
- Review, update, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Process and manage referral correspondence and related documentation
- Assist with patient intake, including collecting patient information and explaining treatment plans
- Present treatment plans and confidently discuss financial arrangements and collections
- Process payments, perform dental coding, and review documentation for accuracy
- Coordinate closely with clinical staff to support smooth clinic operations and optimal patient flow
- Manage office supplies, filing systems, and maintain an organized, welcoming front desk area
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of dental front office or clinical administrative experience
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, billing, and coding procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health information management
- Experience working in a fee-for-service dental practice
- Proficiency with dental software and general computer systems
- Excellent phone etiquette, typing skills, and patient-centered communication
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
