Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and professional front desk experience
- Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits through systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or EMR platforms, ensuring accurate billing and coding
- Review patient medical records and documentation for completeness and accuracy in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist patients with intake forms, explain treatment plans, and coordinate follow-up care with clarity and compassion
- Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally
- Perform insurance verification, pre-authorizations
- Handle medical collection processes diligently while maintaining compliance with health information management standards
- Maintain accurate dental records and medical documentation in accordance with office policies and legal requirements
- Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), and maintaining organized patient files
- Must be Professional and have a positive attitude. With strong work ethic.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental or medical front desk role within a clinical setting; clinic or dental office experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Denticon, Dentrix, or similar platforms like Open Dental
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional phone manner and effective communication abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and billing processes
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Strong organizational skills with clerical experience in medical office management or administrative support roles
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times
- Spanish Bilingual
- We currently see patients 3 days a week. Tuesdays 8:30-3pm, Thursday 12pm-7pm, Saturdays 8:30am-2:30pm and 1 Friday a month 9am-5pm.
- Approx 24-30 hours a week.
