As our Front Office Coordinator, you’ll be the friendly face who greets patients, the problem-solver who keeps the office flow on track, and the team player who makes sure everything behind the scenes runs seamlessly.
Front Office Coordinator Duties
- Greet patients and guests, responding quickly and effectively to their needs
- Collect all necessary fees and deductibles at check-in
- Confirm appointments for patients who haven’t confirmed electronically
- Maintain a smooth, paperless environment within the dental office
- Answer phone calls and emails with professionalism and care
- Resolve patient issues in line with office policies
- Manage scheduling and direct patient flow throughout the day
- Understand treatment plans and help patients with financial options
- Set up third-party financing as needed
- Coordinate with insurance companies to ensure claims are completed
- Stay knowledgeable about marketing and promotional initiatives
- Ensure all records are stored securely and in compliance with privacy regulations
- Maintain professional appearance and office functionality
- Contribute to a supportive, team-first environment
- Schedule appointments using Eaglesoft
- Verify insurance daily and provide eligibility screening using third-party systems
General Duties
- Complete assignments as assigned and participate in staff meetings/training
- Help keep common areas clean and organized
- Show leadership skills while supporting the team
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity, respect for others, and commitment to group success
- Adapt to change, use sound judgment, and stay self-motivated
- Maintain a productive work environment and stay until the end of scheduled shifts
- Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Follow directions with accuracy and professionalism
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Fluency in dental terminology
- Current CPR certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Word
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive, upbeat personality with a can-do spirit
- Must be available to work scheduled hours as assigned
