Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, focusing on preventive care and education. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments for patients of all ages.
• Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary recommendations, and preventive care strategies.
• Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Maintain infection control protocols and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive patient care, including assisting with procedures as needed.
• Utilize dental software systems for scheduling, documentation, and patient records management.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with industry best practices.

Requirements

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
• Strong knowledge of general dentistry principles and practices.
• Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
• Understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures is advantageous.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and best practices in a clinical environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate documentation review.

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
