Dental Hygienist

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a welcoming, professional environment. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to promote oral health, perform thorough dental cleanings, and educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure each patient receives personalized, compassionate care while adhering to the highest standards of infection control and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
  • Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history reviews, and documenting findings accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
  • Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings, supporting dentists during examinations and treatments.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term oral health.
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and safety.
  • Take and interpret medical imaging as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Review documentation for accuracy, update medical records diligently, and assist with medical coding for billing purposes.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and current best practices in infection control to provide top-tier patient care.

Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic environment.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes.
  • Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus, along with experience in four-handed dentistry techniques that improve efficiency during procedures.
  • Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and basic medical coding standards relevant to dental practice.
  • Prior experience with dental assisting tasks such as chairside support enhances your ability to deliver seamless patient experiences. Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
