About the Role

The Dental Supervisor provides leadership and oversight of dental support staff while ensuring efficient, patient-centered clinic operations. This role plays a key part in enhancing the patient experience, supporting team development, and maintaining high standards of care and compliance.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide day-to-day leadership to ensure efficient, high-quality, patient-centered operations
  • Champion patient experience initiatives (rounding, AIDET, service recovery, etc.)
  • Supervise Dental Assistants and other clinical support staff
  • Support scheduling, staffing, and workflow coordination
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing staff development
  • Coach and motivate team members to meet quality and performance goals
  • Oversee supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance
  • Maintain SDS sheets, emergency kits, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Support performance management, including feedback and issue resolution

What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in a healthcare or dental setting strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of health and dental insurance processes preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • 2–3 years of people leadership experience (coaching, mentoring, team development)
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in healthcare or a related field
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR/EDR systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive, proactive, and team-oriented mindset
