Job Title: Dental Surgeon

Salary: PKR 80,000/month

Reporting To: Medical Officer / Health Centre Incharge

Job Summary:

The Dental Surgeon will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, and providing high-quality dental care to employees and their families visiting the Health Centre. The role includes performing general dental procedures, ensuring hygienic and safe clinical practices, and recommending appropriate and cost-effective treatments. The Dental Surgeon will also be responsible for patient education, maintaining detailed records, and making referrals to panel hospitals when specialized care is required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Examination & Diagnosis:

Conduct oral and dental examinations to identify issues such as cavities, gum disease, and other dental conditions.

Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

2. Treatment & Procedures:

Perform general dental procedures such as extractions, root canal therapy, scaling, and fillings.

Carry out minor oral surgeries while ensuring proper sterilization and hygiene protocols.

Prescribe appropriate medications, focusing on effectiveness and cost-efficiency.

3. Preventive & Educational Care:

Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care practices, and post-treatment instructions.

Offer guidance on dietary and lifestyle habits that affect oral health.

4. Panel Referrals & Monitoring:

Refer patients requiring advanced or specialized care to approved panel hospitals.

Track and follow up with referred patients to ensure quality and continuity of care.

5. Compliance & Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate patient treatment records and documentation.

Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards in dental practice.

Proficiency in performing dental procedures and minor surgeries

Excellent communication and patient management skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team

Knowledge of cost-effective treatment approaches and brand prescriptions

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from a recognized university

License: Valid dental practice license from the relevant regulatory authority

Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical experience; prior work in a corporate or institutional healthcare setting is preferred
