About the Role

The Department Lead is responsible for managing one of the company’s core backend operational functions. The assigned functional area can be Project Management, Design, Permitting, Procurement, or Installation or Inspections.

This is a leadership position focused on team management, workflow optimization, SOP enforcement, and performance reporting within a specific department. The Department Lead ensures their team delivers high-quality, on-time results while maintaining smooth coordination with other departments.

The ideal candidate is process-driven, detail-oriented, and experienced in leading teams in a structured, performance-focused environment. Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) are essential, as this role involves daily coordination with the PM Lead and other Department Leads.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily operations within the assigned department (e.g., Project Management, Design, Permitting, Procurement, or Installation & Inspections).
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality and timelines are met.
• Enforce and continuously refine SOPs to drive efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.
• Track performance metrics, identify workflow bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports to provide visibility into operational performance.
• Collaborate closely with the PM Lead and other Department Leads to ensure smooth handoffs between functions.
• Conduct regular team check-ins and performance evaluations.
• Identify training needs and opportunities to enhance team performance and capacity.
• Foster a culture of structure, accountability, and operational discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• PMP certification is required.
• 5+ years of experience in project management or operations, with at least 2 years in a team lead or supervisory role.
• Proven ability to manage remote teams and deliver results against measurable KPIs.
• Exceptional English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong analytical and reporting skills; ability to interpret and act on data insights.
• Proficiency with project management and operational tools (e.g., ClickUp, Asana, Monday, or similar).
• Highly organized, structured, and proactive in driving workflow improvements.
