The City of Sealy is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Deputy Court Clerk requiring specialized knowledge of court operations, policies, and procedures. Under the general supervision of the Court Administrator, this specialized position is responsible for managing the clerical functions for the court, handling case files, court dockets, records, fine/fee collection, and public/attorney/judge communication, ensuring efficient operation and accurate record-keeping for legal proceedings, requires strong organizational skills, customer service, and computer knowledge. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintaining and updating records management program; filing digitally and manually; highly efficient prioritization skills; problem solving; multi-tasking; answering phone, emails and inquiries with proper grammar and professionalism; cash handling and balancing daily deposits. Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or GED equivalent, two (2) years of general business and clerical experience involving public contact, one (1) year cashier/teller experience, and operate modern office equipment. Municipal court experience preferred. Candidates must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license and have the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and MVR check. Hourly pay range: $18.00-25.20. Interested candidates must complete and submit a City of Sealy employment application to the Human Resources Office. EOE.
