Deputy Finance Manager

Doha, Qatar

To assist the Finance Manager in managing the organization’s financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The role ensures that financial data is accurate, timely, and in line with regulations and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Financial Planning and Analysis:

Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Analyzing financial performance against key metrics and providing insights to management.

· Budget Monitoring and Control:

Supporting the monthly budget monitoring process and ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.

· Financial Reporting:

Preparing financial statements, business activity reports, and other financial documents.

· Team Management and Development:

Supervising and mentoring junior finance staff, potentially including training and development activities.

· Internal Control:

Assisting in the development and implementation of internal control procedures.

· Liaison and Communication:

Collaborating with various stakeholders, including auditors, senior management, and other departments, to ensure effective communication and coordination on financial matters.

· Operational Support:

Providing support to the Finance Manager and other senior managers in various financial activities and projects.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Financial Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting practices.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful recommendations.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential for interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Experience in supervising and developing junior staff is often required.
  • Attention to Detail and Accuracy: Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial information is crucial.
  • Proficiency in relevant software: Familiarity with accounting software and other financial tools is usually expected.
  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) may be preferred
