Role Overview
The Deputy Manager – HR will lead HR operations at the manufacturing plant, focusing on manpower planning, statutory compliance, industrial relations, workforce engagement, and performance systems. The role demands strong shop-floor exposure, handling blue-collar workforce, and ensuring smooth HR functioning aligned with plant productivity goals.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manpower Planning & Recruitment
- Plan and execute manpower requirements for plant operations
- Handle recruitment for operators, technicians, engineers, and staff
- Coordinate with production, maintenance & quality teams for hiring needs
- Manage onboarding, induction & skill mapping
2. Industrial Relations (IR) & Compliance
- Maintain harmonious IR climate at the plant
- Manage disciplinary actions, domestic inquiries, settlements
- Ensure compliance with all labor laws: Factories Act, PF, ESI, CLRA, Bonus, Gratuity, etc.
- Liaise with labor department & statutory authorities
3. HR Operations & Payroll
- Oversee attendance, shift scheduling, leave management
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing for plant employees
- Maintain HRMIS / employee database
- Ensure accuracy in wage, overtime, and incentive calculations
4. Training, Skill & Productivity Development
- Identify training needs for shop-floor and staff employees
- Conduct induction, safety, and skill development programs
- Support multi-skilling and productivity improvement initiatives
5. Performance Management
- Support KPI-based performance appraisal systems
- Drive goal setting, reviews, and feedback processes
6. Employee Engagement & Welfare
- Drive employee engagement activities
- Handle grievances, counseling, and conflict resolution
- Manage welfare schemes, canteen, transport, and safety coordination
7. Policy & Audit Support
- Implement HR policies and procedures at plant level
- Support internal / external audits (ISO )
- Ensure discipline, ethics, and compliance culture

Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong exposure to manufacturing / plant HR
- Deep knowledge of Indian labor laws & IR
- Experience handling blue-collar workforce
- Leadership and negotiation skills
- Ability to work closely with operations teams

Educational Qualification
- MBA / MSW / PGDM in HR / IR / Personnel Management
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
