Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Projects Director with 25+ years of expertise in delivering large-scale hospitality, hotel, and tourism developments. The ideal candidate must be a Civil Engineer with a strong record of managing complex projects, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring execution excellence. This role involves working closely with the Projects Director to oversee multiple projects, maintain performance standards, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Projects Director in providing strategic oversight and leadership across all projects.
• Supervise project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment with project plans and objectives.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and quality KPIs to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Support high-level negotiations with contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation plans to maintain project progress.
• Review and validate project reports, cost analyses, and timelines before submission to senior management.
• Maintain close coordination with stakeholders, clients, and government authorities as required.
• Step in to lead projects directly in the absence of the Projects Director.
• Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within project teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree or PMP certification preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in managing large-scale hospitality, hotel, or tourism projects, including substantial senior leadership exposure.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-value projects within scope, time, and budget.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera) and ERP systems.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Ability to be based full-time at the project site in Ras Gharib.
