Position Summary
The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting the physician in delivering exceptional patient care in a luxury dermatology practice specializing in medical dermatology, hair loss, cosmetic dermatology, and minor procedures. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, professionalism, efficiency, and a warm patient-centered approach.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
- Room patients and obtain accurate medical histories, medication lists, allergies, and chief complaints
- Record vital signs and document information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Prepare patients for dermatologic examinations and procedures
- Assist physician during medical, surgical, and cosmetic procedures
- Set up and maintain sterile fields for procedures
- Perform clinical photography when indicated
- Prepare biopsy trays, suture trays, injections, and treatment materials
- Clean and turnover exam rooms efficiently between patients
- Process specimens and coordinate pathology submissions
- Administer medications or injections as permitted under physician supervision
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, wound care, and follow-up instructions
Hair Loss / Specialty Services Support
- Assist with PRP preparation and procedures
- Support microneedling and mesotherapy treatments
- Prepare scalp treatment materials and photography documentation
- Educate patients on hair treatment protocols and aftercare
- Phlebotomy certified
Administrative Support
- Document physician findings accurately in EMR
- Assist with prescription processing and prior authorizations
- Coordinate lab orders and follow-up communication
- Support scheduling flow when needed
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and notify management when reordering is needed
Patient Experience
- Deliver a warm, polished, luxury patient experience
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Ensure patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred
- Dermatology experience preferred (but willing to train strong candidate)
- Experience with EMR systems preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
