Dermatology Nurse

Job description:

The purpose of this role is to assists in the process which ensures that patient care is delivered in accordance with established corporate wide policies and procedures and Nursing standards, and the corporation’s code of ethics. Provides education to staff based on theoretical and clinical expertise. This position will be accountable to ensure clinical resource and continuity of patient care during her/his duty hours.

Staff Nurses are responsible for providing professional, quality patient care according to Life Care Clinic standards. To fulfill the responsibilities above, the Dermatology Nurse, in collaboration with nursing personnel and members of other disciplines, engages in the following activities:

1. Provides direct patient care.

2. Coordinates nursing services with the services of other health care disciplines.

3. Assumes responsibility for staffing and scheduling personnel.

4. Evaluates the quality and appropriateness of care

5. Accepts organizational accountability for services provided to recipients.

Key Responsibilitie:

  • Assist dermatologists during consultations, minor surgeries, laser treatments, and aesthetic procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and instruments in compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Administer prescribed medications, injections, and topical applications under supervision.
  • Perform basic dermatology nursing tasks such as wound dressing, suture removal, and skin preparation.

  • Patient Care
  • Welcome and prepare patients for dermatology consultations and procedures.
  • Educate patients about pre- and post-procedure care, skincare routines, and medication adherence.
  • Monitor patients’ response to treatment and report adverse reactions promptly.
  • Provide compassionate support, ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality.

  • Administrative & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of dermatology services provided.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of dermatology-related products (e.g., lasers, injectables, cosmeceuticals).
  • Adhere to Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) standards, infection prevention protocols, and clinic policies.
  • Assist in stock control, ordering consumables, and managing dermatology equipment maintenance

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Diploma in Nursing (recognized by MoPH).
  • Valid Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) license or eligibility.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in dermatology or aesthetic nursing (clinic or hospital).
  • Knowledge of dermatology procedures, laser machines, fillers, Botox, PRP, and cosmetic dermatology is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle patients with professionalism and care.
