Design Engineer (Electrical)

Position Summary

Designs components or a system of components to develop or improve existing products while reducing cost, enhancing performance, or facilitating manufacturing operations. Designs products or systems of diverse/difficult scope and complexity for assigned projects

Responsibilities

• Design, Develop and implement control login in PLCs and configuration of HMI/SCADA systems for operator control and monitoring
• Design and optimization of electrical & electronic components for filtration products
• Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve issues with PLC hardware, software and overall system functionality Also ensuring they operate as designed.
• Analysis and specification of products/systems
• Perform EMI / EMC testing and functional testing at hardware and electro mechanical product levels
• Develops to support electrical part drawings in accordance with applicable standards
• Interfaces with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
• Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics or Automation Engineering or a related technical field
• 4+ years of experience
• Knowledge of communication protocols like Ethernet/IP, Modbus and Profibus
• Familiarity with major PLC hardware configurations and industrial control systems
