Design & Estimation Engineer

Engineer (Design and Estimation) with UAE based progressive experience of not less than 5 years in the following sectors:

- Fire Protection Systems

- MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)

- Water & Wastewater Treatment

- Security Solutions (SIRA & MCC Certification) / ELV

- General Facilities Management

Key Responsibilities & Roles

• Design Development: Create engineering designs, layouts, and drawings using CAD software for tender submissions or project execution. Ensure designs meet codes, are cost-effective, collaborating with clients, suppliers, and site teams to bridge engineering design with financial feasibility.
• Estimation & Costing: Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Technical Compliance: Ensure all designs conform to local regulations (UAE Life and Safety Codes) and industry standards (e.g., NFPA).
• Tendering Support: Review project specs to develop competitive bids and technical proposals.
• Coordination: Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal procurement teams for technical approvals.
• Site Support: Occasionally conduct site visits to verify site conditions for design accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Fire Protection).
• Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, HASS, Procore, Epicor, CRM
• Experience: 5–10 years of experience in specialized fields like firefighting systems, structural fabrication, or civil construction.
• Knowledge: Expertise in cost analysis, tender documentation, and value engineering
• UAE Driver's License
• Fluent in English, knowledge of Arabic language would be an added advantage
