Ain Consulting Engineers (ACE) is currently seeking a Design Manager to join our dynamic team in Egypt.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of comprehensive architectural design of projects from the conceptual phase through to completion in coordination with various design disciplines.
- Oversee the design process from conceptualization to final documentation, ensuring alignment with project vision, client objectives, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate design charrettes, workshops, and coordination meetings to ensure integration between urban design, infrastructure, landscape, and architectural components.
- Produce detailed blueprints and make necessary corrections.
- Provides design directions to Junior Architectural Designers in the team.
- Attends and chairs design meetings with the Client and the consultants.
- Works closely with architects and Senior Architects to ensure the design is clearly communicated and accurately documented.
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to project scope, quality standards, and regulatory requirements while staying within budgets and timelines.
- Compile project specifications.
- Manage the internal and external design teams, including planners, architects, engineers, and subconsultants.
- Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations.
- Follow architectural trends and advancements.
- Coordinate with other professionals such as contractors, engineers, and landscape architects.
- Leading professionally the BIM projects and understanding deeply how to manage and distribute the BIM tasks.
- Leading the BIM coordination meetings with the other disciplines and solving the project clashes, and following the coordination Company’s agreed process.
- Implement strictly the Approved BIM projects workflow, respecting the BIM protocols.
- using Navisworks or ACC review tools to check the QAQC of his projects before submitting any package to the clients.
- Coordinate with the BIM Manager in anything related to the BIM issues before taking any action related to BIM to be sure it is following the BIM Contract.
- Coordinate inputs from all disciplines to ensure design coherence and timely submissions.
- Identify and resolve design-related conflicts or inconsistencies.
- Ensure the effective communication of design intent across all stakeholders.
- Implement design review and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.
- Monitor risks related to design scope, schedule, and deliverables, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support sustainability and smart city initiatives integrated into the master plan.
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and consistent across disciplines.
- To take proper precautions and avoid any unnecessary risks while carrying out your tasks
- To report any hazards/defects in the workplace, equipment, tools, etc., which might endanger safety and health
- Take reasonable care for personal health and safety, as well as that of others, in the course of work.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field (master’s degree preferred)
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
- Min 20 years of experience with a strong background in large-scale projects.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
- Solid understanding of urban planning principles, infrastructure integration, and sustainable design practices.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic and creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Lumion, 3D-Max, Adobe Photoshop and SketchUp.
- Visual awareness and eye for detail
- Ability to manage and coordinate projects efficiently and within given deadlines.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and quality standards
- Professional architectural license.
