Designer - Fabrication

Job Purpose

To design and develop innovative, functional, and high-quality automotive accessories for the overlanding community, ensuring that all products meet engineering standards, customer requirements, and are optimized for fabrication and real-world use.

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Designer to join Stars Overland, a leading automotive fabrication company specializing in custom accessories for the overlanding community. The Designer will be responsible for creating innovative and practical designs for products such as drawer systems, bumpers, molle panels, and other bespoke vehicle solutions. The ideal candidate will bring an engineering mindset to the creative process, with proven experience using SolidWorks to translate concepts into precise technical drawings and fabrication-ready models. This role requires close collaboration with our fabrication team to ensure designs are both functional and manufacturable, supporting Stars Overland’s commitment to quality, durability, and adventure-ready innovation.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and develop custom overlanding accessories including drawer systems, bumpers, roof racks, and molle panels.

· Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks.

· Collaborate with the fabrication and workshop teams to ensure product designs are practical, safe, and manufacturable.

· Conduct design reviews and make modifications based on feedback and performance testing.

· Research industry trends and competitor products to contribute to innovation and continuous improvement.

· Ensure all designs comply with relevant engineering standards and safety regulations.

· Support the prototyping and testing of new products.

· Maintain accurate records of design files, revisions, and project documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.

· Proven experience in product design, preferably in the automotive or off-road accessories sector.

· Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling and technical drawings).

· Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

· Creative problem-solving skills with an eye for both functionality and aesthetics.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

· Passion for overlanding, off-roading, or automotive customization is an advantage.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
