The Role:
We’re looking for a talented Designer / Sales Engineer who wants to break into the dust collection industry. You’ll start by designing and laying out industrial dust collection systems using CAD and your mechanical expertise. Over time, this role will transition into a sales position where you’ll engage directly with clients, present solutions, and help grow our business. This position is located in the Central Texas area. (SA, New Braunfels, Austin)

What You’ll Do:

  • Create detailed CAD layouts for dust collection and air filtration systems.
  • Design equipment, ductwork, and system integrations with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with project managers, field crews, and manufacturers to ensure designs are practical and buildable.
  • Support proposals and technical documentation for clients.
  • Participate in site visits and project planning sessions.
  • Transition into a sales role, leveraging your technical knowledge to provide solutions and build client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field OR equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong mechanical background with CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Experience in layout, detailed design, and mechanical drafting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn about dust collection, industrial ventilation, and safety standards.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with industrial ventilation, HVAC, or process piping systems.
  • Interest in client-facing sales and solution-based consulting.
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards and industrial compliance.
