Designer/Sales Associate – Design Showroom

Job Summary:
We are looking for a creative and customer-focused Designer/Sales Associate to join our team, a premier design retail showroom. This in-person role combines design expertise with sales proficiency, requiring the ability to consult with clients, create tailored kitchen cabinet solutions, and close sales. The ideal candidate has a passion for design, excellent interpersonal skills, and a knack for delivering exceptional customer experiences. The Designer/Sales Associate will report directly to Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in the showroom and provide a welcoming, professional atmosphere.
• Conduct in-depth consultations to understand client needs, preferences, and budget.
• Use 2020 Design Software to create customized kitchen cabinet layouts and design solutions.
• Present design options and provide expert advice on materials, finishes, and styles.
• Educate clients about product features, pricing, and promotions to guide their purchase decisions.
• Follow up on leads, manage the sales pipeline, and close sales to meet individual and team sales targets.
• Maintain detailed client records and project files using the company’s CRM system.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager and other team members to ensure showroom excellence and client satisfaction.
• Support showroom merchandising and ensure displays are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and design innovations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in design or sales, preferably in kitchen cabinetry or interior design.
• Proficiency with 2020 Design Software or similar design tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Sales-driven mindset, with the ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
• High school diploma required; a degree or certification in interior design, architecture, or a related field is a plus.
• Familiarity with retail POS and CRM systems is an advantage.
