Desktop Engineer

Zapegg Tax Consultant is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Desktop Engineer to join our IT support team in Dubai. This role is ideal for a technically proficient professional who can ensure smooth functioning of desktop systems, provide timely technical support, and maintain IT infrastructure within a fast-paced consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Provide technical support for hardware and software issues.
• Troubleshoot system errors and resolve user-related IT problems.
• Manage operating system installations, updates, and patches.
• Configure and manage user accounts, email setups, and access permissions.
• Ensure data backup and system security protocols are followed.
• Maintain IT inventory and update asset management records.
• Coordinate with network and system administrators for issue resolution.
• Provide user training and support for IT tools and applications.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with hardware maintenance and software installations.
• Experience with antivirus systems and data backup solutions.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
