Role description

Role Proficiency:

Acts under very minimal guidance to develop error free code; testing and documenting applications

Outcomes:

  • Understand the applications features and component design and develop the same in accordance with user stories/requirements.
  • Code debug test and document; and communicate product/component/feature development stages.
  • Develop optimized code with appropriate approach and algorithms following standards and security guidelines independently
  • Effectively interact with customers and articulate their input
  • Optimise efficiency cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models
  • Mentor Developer I – Software Engineering to become more effective in their role
  • Learn technology business domain and system domain as recommended by the project/account
  • Set FAST goals and provide feedback to FAST goals of mentees

  • Adherence to engineering processes and standards (coding standards)
  • Adherence to schedule / timelines

    We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience to design, develop, and optimize database solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL programming, performance tuning, ETL processes, and working with relational databases. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support application development, reporting, and data management initiatives.________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. • Perform database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization. • Troubleshoot database-related issues, discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks. • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards. • Support reporting requirements by building and optimizing views, materialized views, and datasets. • Contribute to best practices in database development. • Work with business analysts to translate requirements into data-driven solutions. ________________________________________ Required Skills & Qualifications • 3–4 years of hands-on SQL development experience. • Strong knowledge of RDBMS such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. • Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures. • Knowledge of database concepts: normalization, indexing, partitioning, transactions, query execution plans. • Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and interpret execution plans. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. ________________________________________ Preferred / Nice-to-Have • Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL). • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus. • Exposure to BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau). • Basic understanding of Python or scripting for automation.
