Developer - Power BI

Job Summary: The role will be responsible for creating interactive data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to support business decision-making, typically requiring 2–5+ years of experience. Key responsibilities include designing data models, writing complex DAX queries, using Power Query for ETL, and connecting to various data sources. They ensure data accuracy, implement row-level security, and often collaborate with IT to optimize performance

Key Accountabilities:

• Data Modeling & Visualization: Develop, publish, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop.

• Data Transformation (ETL): Utilize Power Query and SQL to clean, transform, and model data from multiple sources.

• Advanced Analytics: Write complex DAX expressions for calculations and performance optimization.

• Security & Administration: Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage workspace permissions.

• Collaboration: Translate complex business requirements into technical, visual solutions by working with stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Power BI (Desktop/Service), DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL.
• Database Knowledge: Experience with relational databases, data warehousing concepts, and schema design (star/snowflake).
• Experience: 2–5+ years in BI development or data analysis roles.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Bonus Skills: Experience with Python, Azure SQL, or paginated reports.
