Position Summary

City Ventures is seeking a full-time Development Associate to support their Development team in securing entitlements and permits for residential sites across Northern California. The role is based in the San Francisco office, with significant travel by car for meetings and site visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct land use research, analyze government fees, and prepare permits and project applications.
  • Coordinate and submit permit applications.
  • Gather and analyze market comparables.
  • Work with professional consultants and manage internal processes.
  • Lead due diligence activities, including land planning, environmental review, and title research.
  • Assist with project management coordination throughout all development stages.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, urban planning, real estate, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work tactically, strategically, and cooperatively/collaboratively as part of a team.
  • High energy, passion, curiosity, and resourcefulness; ability to work both tactically and strategically as part of a team.

Compensation:

Salary range: $75,000 – $90,000 per year with additional Discretionary Bonus amount to be determined.
