M3 Devops And Infrastructure Manager – Garage

Overview:
Lead the Garage's Platforms and Systems Team, driving both the technical evolution and operational excellence of our software infrastructure. You'll provide hands-on support for the Garage's software systems (CICD, DevOps, data management), champion the adoption of new tools, and ensure reliable, scalable workflows for developers and researchers.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing DevOps and Infrastructure team within the Garage's Platforms and Systems group
  • Oversee daily operations and support for Garage software systems, including CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and data management workflows
  • Prototype, evaluate, and implement new tools/approaches to raise productivity for software developers and researchers
  • Act as an internal evangelist for modern DevOps and data management best practices – driving adoption and continuous improvement
  • Build, document, and operationalize data management processes from data capture through to published results
  • Ensure robust, scalable CICD and HW-in-the-loop testing environments
  • Foster strong cross-group relationships to ensure alignment and support for platform initiatives
  • Translate business and technical objectives into actionable plans, ensuring timely and effective execution
  • Monitor, measure, and report on infrastructure performance and productivity metrics
  • Support talent development through coaching, feedback, and performance management

Qualifications:
  • MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Strong expertise in data capture/processing pipelines
  • Proven, hands-on DevOps experience
  • Practitioner-level knowledge of CI/CD (e.g., Github Actions, Gitlab)
  • Practitioner-level experience with AWS; additional cloud platforms a plus
  • Experience building HW-in-the-loop CI/CD systems
  • Track record of effective cross-functional collaboration
  • Demonstrated ability to turn objectives into actionable, executable plans
  • Minimum 2 years prior management experience

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $128,250 to $192,375.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
