Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and test suites.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to define test strategies.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable test code to validate backend services, APIs, UI, and databases.
  • Build continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines with automated quality checks.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of issues and provide quick feedback to the engineering team.
  • Ensure high code coverage and enforce best practices for quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Drive performance, load, and security testing initiatives.
  • Mentor junior engineers and champion test automation culture within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, PyTest, etc.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (unit, integration, regression, performance).
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and tools like Postman/REST Assured.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
  • Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and test data management.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with an eye for detail.
