Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and test suites.
Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to define test strategies.
Write high-quality, maintainable test code to validate backend services, APIs, UI, and databases.
Build continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines with automated quality checks.
Perform root-cause analysis of issues and provide quick feedback to the engineering team.
Ensure high code coverage and enforce best practices for quality throughout the SDLC.
Drive performance, load, and security testing initiatives.
Mentor junior engineers and champion test automation culture within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, PyTest, etc.
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (unit, integration, regression, performance).
Experience working with RESTful APIs and tools like Postman/REST Assured.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar).
Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and test data management.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with an eye for detail.
