DevOps Strategy & Architecture

• Define and implement end-to-end DevOps architecture for large-scale, cloud-native applications

• Establish and promote GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform, Helm, and Ansible

• Lead cloud modernization initiatives using Kubernetes, Docker, and optionally Istio

CI/CD & Automation

• Architect and manage multi-environment CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Jenkins

• Automate build, test, deployment, and rollback workflows across AKS and Azure IaaS environments

• Implement advanced deployment strategies such as rolling updates, blue-green, and canary deployments

Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

• Design and provision Azure IaaS components: VMSS, networking, storage, and load balancers

• Integrate and support Azure Service Bus and MongoDB for enterprise-scale messaging and data

• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack

Security & Compliance

• Enforce least-privilege access, identity and access management (IAM), and secret management via Key Vault and OIDC-based authentication

• Implement and ensure compliance with DevSecOps practices (vulnerability scanning, policy enforcement, etc.)

Scripting & Automation Development

• Develop robust automation scripts using Shell, PowerShell, JavaScript, and Python

• Create reusable modules for infrastructure provisioning and service deployments

Architectural Leadership

• Design multi-layered infrastructure, reusable IaC modules, and scalable deployment strategies

• Conduct architecture reviews, lead technical workshops, and mentor DevOps teams

• Prepare detailed technical documentation and communicate solutions clearly to stakeholders

Collaboration & Leadership

• Mentor DevOps engineers and guide developers on DevOps best practices

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SRE, Development, QA, and Security

• Act as a trusted advisor for all cloud, DevOps, and automation strategy discussions

Required Skills & Experience

• Core Expertise: Helm, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, DevOps practices

• Cloud: Azure IaaS (VMSS, NSG, Load Balancers, Networking, Storage)

• Messaging & Databases: Azure Service Bus, MongoDB

• Scripting Languages: Shell, PowerShell, JavaScript, Python (automation-centric)

• CI/CD & GitOps: Expertise in multi-repo workflows, artifact management, and modern deployment patterns

• Security: Strong understanding of DevSecOps, IAM, OIDC, and secret management practices

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps roles, including 3+ years in architect-level positions

• Deep experience with cloud-native and microservices architectures

• Proficient in observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK

• Experience in multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)

• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)

• Strong communication, team leadership, and mentoring abilities

• Azure certifications preferred (e.g., AZ-305, AZ-400)

• Experience implementing advanced deployment strategies: GitOps, blue-green, canary
