DevOps Engineer

At Xynotech, customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us build functional systems that improve customer experience we are now looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer. Will be responsible for designing cloud native environments, writing infrastructure as code, conducting analysis of environmental issues and help with environment provisioning that meet our customers' needs. Job Description:

• Building and setting up new environments in AWS and Azure
• Developing scripts to automate provisioning of environments
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Planning out sprint and being involved in estimation of user stories
• Deploying updates and fixes using CI/CD pipelines
• Building tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Job Specification

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.
• 3-5 years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer on a cloud environment.
• Experience in managing large production/live environments using infrastructure as code (terraform, cloud formation)

Required Skills

• Knowledge of Kubernetes clusters and workloads
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline
• Scripting experience with Groovy and/or Jenkins
• Proficient with git and git workflows
• Good knowledge of Python
• Problem-solving attitude
• Good knowledge of databases
• Linux Cli experience
• Any Scripting languages - Python, Perl, Bash.
