Dewatering Project Engineer

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

To plan, execute, and oversee dewatering works for construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective completion in line with project specifications and client requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, supervise, and monitor dewatering activities at site including wellpoint systems, deep wells, sump pumping, and other dewatering techniques.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and requirements to prepare dewatering designs and execution plans.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors regarding technical requirements and approvals.
  • Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and shop drawings for dewatering works.
  • Arrange and mobilize manpower, equipment, and materials required for site execution.
  • Monitor groundwater levels, pumping efficiency, and discharge compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Ensure dewatering systems are installed, operated, and maintained effectively throughout the project duration.
  • Supervise site teams, provide technical guidance, and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
  • Maintain daily site reports, progress records, and submit periodic reports to management.
  • Support tendering/estimation team by providing technical inputs and site data for dewatering projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical/site issues related to pumps, piping networks, and discharge systems.
  • Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
    • Minimum 4–7 years’ experience in dewatering projects (UAE/GCC experience preferred).
    • Strong knowledge of groundwater control methods (deep well, wellpoint, ejector, cut-off walls, etc.).
