About the Role:

Our client, a leading Real Estate Developer in Dubai, is seeking an experienced DGM/GM – Legal & Contracts to oversee and manage the company’s legal function. The ideal candidate will have around 15 years of experience as a legal generalist, with strong exposure to the real estate development sector. This role requires expertise in handling a broad spectrum of legal matters including contracts, litigation, intellectual property, joint ventures, M&A, and general corporate/commercial issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support on all real estate and corporate transactions, ensuring compliance with UAE laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to real estate development projects, including land acquisition, construction, leasing, joint ventures, and shareholder agreements.
• Manage litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution matters in coordination with external counsel.
• Advise on M&A transactions, corporate structuring, and other strategic investments.
• Oversee intellectual property rights (IPR), trademarks, and brand protection.
• Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for real estate projects and corporate transactions.
• Liaise with regulators, authorities, and government bodies on legal and compliance matters.
• Develop and implement legal frameworks, policies, and governance processes for the business.
• Partner with senior management and board members on strategic decision-making.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise the in-house legal team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) is mandatory; Master’s in Law (LLM) preferred.
• Around 15 years of legal experience, with a mix of Real Estate Developer in-house corporate counsel and law firm experience.
• Proven experience working with a Real Estate Developer in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE real estate, corporate, and commercial laws.
• Expertise in contracts, litigation, IPR, joint ventures, and M&A transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage complex legal issues.
• Currently based in UAE or with prior UAE real estate legal experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED40,000.00 - AED45,000.00 per month
