Mining Planning & Development Oversee short-term and long-term mine planning to ensure efficient extraction of coal reserves. Collaborate with mine planners and geologists to optimize mine design and maximize productivity while maintaining safety and environmental standards. Monitor and evaluate progress against plans and propose adjustments as required.

KRA Survey & Mapping Ensure accurate surveying of mining areas and the timely delivery of plans and maps necessary for efficient operations. Implement best practices in mine surveying, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Oversee technological updates in surveying methods and tools to improve precision and efficiency.

KRA Geology & Exploration Manage geological teams in exploration activities to ensure accurate assessment of coal reserves and resources. Collaborate with geologists to ensure geological data supports safe and sustainable mining operations. Implement drilling and exploration programs for further resource identification and evaluation.

KRA Coal Quality & Blending Supervise the coal quality control team to ensure the delivery of coal that meets customer specifications. Manage coal blending strategies to ensure consistency in coal quality, considering calorific values and ash content. Oversee sampling, testing, and monitoring systems for coal quality management.

KRA Horticulture & Environmental Compliance Manage the horticulture team responsible for mine reclamation and re-vegetation of disturbed areas to maintain environmental sustainability. Ensure that all activities comply with environmental regulations and mine closure requirements. Support environmental impact mitigation strategies and promote sustainability within mine operations.

KRA Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop teams in survey, horticulture, mine planning, geology, and coal quality control, fostering a collaborative work environment. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training opportunities for team growth and skill enhancement. Ensure adequate staffing, succession planning, and professional development within the technical services team.

KRA Reporting & Documentation Prepare regular reports on mine performance, technical achievements, and challenges for senior management. Maintain and update records related to mine planning, coal quality, geological data, and environmental activities.
