Job Title: Dialysis Technician
Job Overview:
As a Dialysis Technician, you will work closely with patients undergoing dialysis treatment to ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure. Your responsibilities will include setting up and operating dialysis machines, monitoring patients' vital signs, and providing emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding dialysis procedures and self-care at home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating Dialysis Equipment: Set up and calibrate dialysis machines according to prescribed procedures. Monitor and adjust settings during dialysis treatment as needed.
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for dialysis treatment by assessing their medical history, obtaining vital signs, and ensuring proper vascular access.
- Monitoring Patients: Monitor patients' vital signs, fluid removal rates, and overall well-being during dialysis treatment. Recognize and respond promptly to any signs of complications or adverse reactions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of dialysis treatments, including patients' vital signs, medications administered, and any observed complications.
- Patient Education: Provide education to patients and their families regarding kidney disease, dialysis procedures, dietary restrictions, and medication management. Offer support and encouragement to help patients cope with the challenges of chronic illness.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols to minimize the risk of cross-contamination and ensure a safe healthcare environment for patients and staff.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of dialysis machines and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety standards are met.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy equipment as needed.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating dialysis machines and performing vascular access procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dialysis treatments are often scheduled multiple times per week.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
