Diesel Mechanic

Green Acres Contracting is looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our highway construction fleet. Our fleet consists primarily of medium-duty trucks and construction equipment, and we’re looking for someone dependable who takes pride in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.

Skills/Qualifications:
Shop employees will be expected to lift/handle/install a variety of tools, parts, fasteners, etc. Weights of these items range from almost no weight, for some fasteners, up to 120 pounds, for some brake drums. Lifts include; Ground to waist, waist to ground, ground to shoulder or above, shoulder or above to ground.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks and equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Maintain service records and work orders
• Keep shop and tools organized and safe

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on diesel trucks or construction equipment
• CDL is a plus (not required)
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues independently
• Strong work ethic and reliability
